The XTERRA races in Italy are known for their diverse locations, varying terrain, and challenging elements. The XTERRA Italian Challenge provides a chance for individual and team athletes to compete against each other to determine the highest scorer in the premium XTERRA races held in Lake Garda, Lake Scanno, and Sardegna. The athletes with the best performance across all three races will be named the Italian Challenge champion and rewarded with cash prizes.

The XTERRA Italian Challenge competition is reserved for all Italian and Foreign athletes who are in good standing with their respective National Triathlon Federations.
The XTERRA Italian Challenge is exclusively available to Age Groupers only; XTERRA Elites are ineligible to participate.

The qualified race formats for the Italian Challenge rankings are the following:
Full Distance Triathlon (Lake Garda and Lake Scano)
Long Distance Triathlon (only for XTERRA Sardegna)
A coefficient equal to 1 will be applied to Full distance races, while the coefficient to be applied to the score will be 1.5 for long-distance races.
For the Individual Category, the sum of the scores obtained in the individual events will be calculated. To be eligible to be crowned as the winner of XTERRA Italian Challenge, an athlete must have competed in at least two of the three events within the Italian Challenge.
For Individual ranking: An athlete’s points will be calculated as soon as they finish the second race within the Challenge.
For Team ranking: The sum of the points obtained by the team members will be calculated. Points from individuals with only one race will also be included in team scores.
