How To Become an XTERRA Coach
XTERRA Certified Coaches are easily recognizable on social media via the XTERRA Coach logo, enabling coaches to leverage their expertise within a community that is built on positive shared experiences.
In order to participate in the program, all candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Hold a level triathlon coach qualification or a diploma as a professional triathlon coach
  • Have at least 2 years of XTERRA or cross-triathlon coaching experience
  • Have finished 2 or more XTERRA full-distance triathlons
  • Hold first aid, CPR, and water safety (open water and pool) certification
Interested applicants will also be required to provide a letter of interest detailing their motivation to work within the local community and the global XTERRA family.
To ensure the quality and support of our coaches, XTERRA limits the number of certifications each year. While the 2023 coaching program schedule has yet to be confirmed, we still encourage any interested participants who meet the above criteria to email us at coaching@xterraplanet.com to learn more about the program, join the waiting list, or be notified of upcoming certification camps.
