Covering the most diverse set of natural terrains, from Arizona to Argentina, the XTERRA Americas Tour is equal parts grit, grind, and glory as the region's best off-road triathletes compete for the right to call themself an XTERRA regional tour champion and don the XTERRA Americas Tour Champion jersey.
To be crowned champion, athletes must compete for points using the
XTERRA World Performance Index - a proprietary, formula-driven system that delivers a score for every finisher based on factors such as field strength and depth, number of participants, elevation, water and air temperature, rainfall, trail conditions, and more.
Those with the highest XTERRA World Performance Index points score at an XTERRA Americas event at the end of the season - by gender and age group - will be named as the new reigning XTERRA Tour Champions of the Americas region.
The tour is open to all amateur off-road triathletes, but athletes must start in at least three events within the tour to be eligible to be crowned as an XTERRA Americas Tour Champion.
