Getting Stoked on Suzie ‘The Soul Crusher’ Snyder
An inspiration, anomaly, and ambassador, Suzie Snyder continues to set the bar for what it means to be an XTERRA Champion, while still posing as a threat to the new wave of up and coming female athletes.

Alizée Paties: Why Mindset Matters
Alizée Paties (FRA) claimed the first victory of the XTERRA World Cup at the APAC Championship and now leads the series at the top of the women’s leaderboard. “It was a surprise but not a surprise,” Paties said. In a perfectly executed performance she passed current world #1 Solenne Billouin on the run to take the tape by a convincing gap of over 2 minutes. Her choice to wear a CamelBak under the hot and humid conditions in Taiwan might have been the key to her victory but, perhaps, we are now seeing a new side to Paties.

Solenne Billouin: A Champion Rising
All eyes will be on current XTERRA World Champion Solenne Billouin as the XTERRA World Cup makes its debut in Taiwan. The race has brought out the top five world-ranked women and Billouin will no doubt be a key player. The young French athlete rose quickly through the ranks of XTERRA and, although she has reached the pinnacle of the sport, her limited experience makes her a unique World Champion. She is excited for new opportunities on the World Cup circuit, hungry for stronger competition, and looking to open her season with a victory.
ABOUT THE WORLD CUP
The XTERRA World Cup is a condensed series of full-distance and short track triathlons designed to bring the strongest possible field of elite athletes to 7 select locations in a points-based competition that spans 12 races spread across the XTERRA season.
Giving spectators a taste of the highest level of XTERRA racing, and elite athletes the chance to minimise travel and maximise reward, the XTERRA World Cup Series passes through the APAC, Americas, and EMEA regions before culminating at the the biggest race of them all - the XTERRA World Championship.
At stake is pride, glory, and a total of over $340,000 in prize money.

Scoring System
Series points are weighted according to discipline and event status, with the XTERRA World Cup Champion title awarded to the male and female athlete who end the series with the highest total score across:
1.
Their 4 highest race scores taken from the first six full-distance races of the series
Athletes can earn points across 6 full-distance races, but only the highest 4 scores will count towards their total.
2.
Their 3 highest scoring short track races
The three highest scores out of the five possible short track races will count towards the final score.
3.
Their XTERRA World Championship result
Worlds is a must-count race so if you don’t race, or don’t place, your score is 0.
Prize Money
Each of the 12 World Cup races offers a prize purse that is weighted by discipline (full-distance or short track) and event status (championship or non-championship). Prize purses and series bonuses are split evenly between the male and female categories, with all prize purses and bonuses paid in Euros, except for events in Taiwan and the USA which are paid in US dollars.
To be eligible for the €100,000 XTERRA World Cup bonus, elites must race at least two of the three continental championship events.
