The XTERRA Arizona Trail Run Series consists of four local series based upon distance. The BLACK (marathon-ish) series has distances from 40-43k. The RED (1/2 marathon-ish) series covers the gamut from 20k-26k. The BLUE series courses are 7k-12k. And finally, the GREEN series distances range from 5k-6k. All series accumulate points the top 3 winners receive a series award and acknowledgement at our series finale at Black Canyon. If you want to register for the entire series and SAVE 15%, click HERE. You need to race in as many events as possible within the series to score maximum points. There are six races in the XTERRA Arizona Trail Run BLACK and RED Series. There are five races in the XTERRA Arizona Trail Run BLUE and GREEN Series.
All final scores are calculated based on your top 5 finishes. You must participate in at least two events in the series to be eligible to win. However, your chances of winning improve the more you run. Moreover, if you do not attend, you will be allocated “0” points for that race.
Additionally, you can mix and match the distances you run, but FINAL Point Series Standings will be determined separately for the BLACK, RED, BLUE, and GREEN series. For instance, if you win a race in the BLACK series at San Tan and in the RED series at Estrella, you earn 100 points in the BLACK and the RED series.
Series points standings will be posted after the second event, and updated series standings will be updated with three days of each subsequent event.
Shendo Cat Racing needs YOU to make these events happen!
Volunteers guarantee the success of each event. They man the aid stations, cheer on the athletes, direct the misdirected runner, provide medical personnel, and generally make the races safer for everyone. We guarantee a great time and the time spent will be worthwhile. You don’t have to be a runner or athlete to volunteer at our events. If you have simple words of encouragement and are able to help direct runners or hand out water, you are valuable to us! In exchange for your time, you’ll be rewarded with coffee during the wee hours of the morning, goodies and refreshments, and most importantly the feel-good feeling of knowing that you helped to make the event happen and everyone finished because of the help you offered. You’ll also receive points for volunteering. Earn 6 points and you’ve earned a free race! Questions? Contact info@aztrailrace.com.
